My Dad has passed this to me recently. It has been stored in his loft since, I believe, 1978. My Dad was in the Royal Navy and won this bottle in a raffle, ticket price was 25pence, with proceeds going to support the Gibraltar Commonwealth Games Team. He got word he had won and promptly left his ship to collect from the prize, narrowly making it back on board before his ship sailed. Upon his return to an RAF base, not sure which base, he was duly charged £7 duty tax for the bottle….and was non too happy! The case is in good condition although shows signs of its age. Crushed moulded velvet carries the decanter and cork, with a tag hanging round the neck. The seal looks like plastic, with a ‘pull tab’ layer over the cork.
