Louis XIII Collector's Edition from Japan

Behold, a very beautiful collector’s edition of the highly esteemed Rémy Martin Louis XIII Cognac, that firmly nods towards the cultural significance of the tricolor French flag. This is a collector’s item from the 1970s and 1980s, and makes us want to practically burst into song with “La Marseillaise.”

Made from the finest Baccarat crystal, this decanter itself is nearly 50 years old. The decanter has certainly been modernized, which is why we love this classic version from a private seller. It is entirely new and unopened.

This very bottle would have been crafted by Maurice Fillioux, seventh-generation Cellar Master of the Hennessy house. He was a renowned lover of music, which explains why his Cognac blends were like delicate symphonies. He even compared the notes of Cognac to that of a musical score…

Considering the Louis XIII Cognac is a fine mélange of over 100 eaux-de-vie, one can only imagine how old this Cognac might be. The minimum age of a Louis XIII Cognac is 40 years, and this bottle will contain eaux-de-vie dating back over 100 years in age.

To own a little piece of history, we highly recommend investing in this stunning collector’s item.

The private seller of this Cognac is located in Japan, and can be shipped to your door with the utmost care.

Presentation of the decanter

The design of the flask itself is still relatively similar - it was originally based upon that which was found on the site of the battle of Jarnac, which took place in 1569. This one is adorned with a gorgeously traditional French label, a delicate crystal centerpiece and a red, white and blue ribbon much like the French flag.

The cap is white, with an elaborate icon of the Rémy Martin logo in black and red.

A combination of its age-old Baccarat glass decanter dating back to the 16th century, alongside its earthly blending process which began in 1874, makes for a complex Cognac with a pervading reputation. It is sure to endure well into the future.

Story of the bottle

The bottle was purchased from a friend who most likely purchased it from a housewife of a man who recently passed. And, therefore, had no further use for the bottle.
